Hello, I'm a philosophy/sociology student at Uni Basel who is trying to study Mandarin. I've already completed 4 semesters where I had Chinese once a week, I still feel like a beginner but I at least know the very basics. Having some real life practice might help a lot. I know German, Swiss German, English and Croatian fluently.

I was born and raised in Croatia. I moved to Slovenia at the age of 18, where I attended university and afterwards lived great majority of my adult life. Both of this languages I speak fluently as a mother tongue with very good understanding of grammar and correct writing . I was living in Great Britain for two years, so my English is good, as well. I have been learning German since I moved to Zurich three years ago. I came up to C1 level, but it is only school knowledge, since I don't get many chances to speak German or Swiss German.
